My goal for the past 25 years has been to serve by helping those who suffer on a variety of realms. My aim is to ultimately connect people to their highest selves, whatever that might look like for them; to allow them to reach their full potential. I meet people where they are at and help them to navigate a wellness plan that works for them. I have various levels of training and certification that help me move between the varying modalities of care, in a quest to treat the whole person, not just a fragment of who they are. I am able to treat both body, mind and soul, holding certificates in therapeutic yoga, reiki, theta healing and specialize in spiritual life coaching. We all feel the need for authentic connection and the desire to be both heard and seen. My approach is, first and foremost, to create a space that is safe, through nurturing and acceptance. I invite you to give yourself the ultimate of gifts; the gift of healing. You deserve it.

Curiosity of Buddhism and Hinduism began about 30 years ago and then began doing yoga over 20 years ago at the YMCA, Teacher Trainings began there with Beth Shaw's Yogafit levels 1, 2, 3 with Anatomy and Alignment.  I then subbed for a number of people at the Y and other locations.  In 2009 I completed Dr. Bali's 200 hour training and later in 2017 another 300 hours of study with Robin Golt.  Also since 2010 spent many hours with Dr. Bali doing karma yoga together helping to promote his message of wellness.  Over the years have also spent time visiting Sivananda ashrams at Val Morin, Bahamas, Nayyer Dam & Madurai  plus the center in Chennai, visited the ashram of Amma the hugging mother in Amritapuri, the Aurobindo ashram and Auroville in Pondicherry.  Back in North America visited Swami Satchidananda Yogaville ashram in Virginia, Kripalu, Omega Institute and the Ananda ashram in Monroe, New York.  Currently offering a weekly karma Chair Yoga class at centre Evasion, a day center for seniors.

My teachings encourage movement of the entire body to help lubricate all of our joints, improve circulation helping to dislodge metabolic wastes and improve muscle tone. Use of the Bali Method to invoke the relaxation response to help maximize our power to rebuild, renew and repair itself.  By shifting from the rational mind to the intuitive mind, from thinking to feeling our energy is being conserved for more useful purposes.  Enjoy the feeling of being refreshed after completing the class!

The practice of Yoga entered my life 39 years ago.
In the first 3 years it was primarily the asanas (postures) that helped to calm my mind and emotions and made me feel good in my body. Eventually, when I was introduced to the 8 limbs of Yoga everything in my life began to make so much more sense. I’m so grateful for all of my teachers and the teachers that have made this knowledge available to all of us.

I'm from Brazil where I graduated as a psychologist and worked for  17 years in private practice and 10 years in the Public Health System. My experience and studies have showed me the importance of working the mind and body in an integrative way. In 2013 I started yoga classes with Dr Bali and I was  impressed with the deep level of relaxation I was able to achieve. The relaxation response is the scientific term for meditation. It was coined by the cardiologist and researcher Herbert Benson. His research shows that a regular practice of deep relaxation can improve our mental and physical heath.

In 2013 I completed Dr Bali’s Therapeutic Method of Yoga Teacher Training, 200h. I have been taking different trainings in yoga in order to improve my own practice and my teachings. My most recent trainings were with Benedetta Capanna (a student of Diane Long) in Rome, 2018. She teaches in the Vanda Scaravelli way of Yoga. I have been training with Isabelle Lemay since 2017. She is a certified teacher from Esther Myers Yoga Studio, Toronto  that teaches in the Vanda Scaravelli way of Yoga. I feel that what I learn in the  Vanda Scaravelli way of Yoga enrichies my practice of the Bali Therapheutic Method of Yoga.
